QA Automation Engineer (Java)

We are building a Platform as a service. We have >100 integrations with partners + data sources. We were also the first to develop pre-integrated background screening solutions with the industry's top applicant tracking solution (ATS) providers.

We offer more ATS integrations than any provider in the industry. These include Avature, IBM, iCIMS, Oracle, SAP SuccessFactors, Ultimate and Workday. Our pre-integrated employment screening solutions simplify setup with your existing platforms.

We provide over 150 unique background check services for your specific needs globally.

Our Platform was developed first based on Oracle. Tech-driven culture from the get-go. Our current goal is to expand the platform, develop a new interface and implement automatisation.

QA Automation Engineer (Java)

Java 8, in 2021 we are planning to switch to Java 15.

React is used as a library for the frontend, including other tools for integration (jQuery).

No complex J2EE (no EJB).

Databases: - Oracle (18C). Apache Camel is used for integration (connectors).

Team works on Linux. IntelliJ IDEA is used as development environment.

We work with atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence).

• 4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
• Experience with REST and SOAP APIs testing
• Experience with SQA processes and methodologies (manual test processes, black box, white box and gray box testing, test case design, scripting and execution, automated test tools)
• Experience with functional testing of multi-tier Web applications
• Experience working with issues tracking tools, test cases design and execution

   

Additional Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong communicator and highly organized
• A love for testing software and solving difficult problems with simple solutions
• Solid understanding of large scale systems testing
• Extended knowledge of SQL, JSON and XML
• Basic knowledge of Linux and network protocols
• Extended knowledge of Performance and Load Testing
• Excellent knowledge of SQL and hands on experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate

Senior QA Engineer works with Product Development and Product Management.

• Develop, publish, execute and maintain test plans
• Design, implement and document test cases for product releases
• Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts
• Work with developers and product managers to ensure requirements are successfully translated into usable test cases
• Identify and execute manual test cases and analyze test results
• Work with developers and Product Managers to identify and report root causes for test failures
• Make recommendations to improve product reliability, performance, quality assurance best practices and processes
• Independently determine and design testing approaches that support comprehensive testing of difficult solutions; mentor and cross-train others on testing approaches
• Act as a subject matter expert in application functionality on occasion
• Mentor and cross-train other QA Engineers on SQA best practices and processes
• Analyze testing results, identify and report root causes for test failures by working with the development team
• Independently determine and design testing approaches working on difficult solutions or projects

The work schedule is rather flexible.

Our usual office hours are 10.00 - 18.

The Leads are usually working 11-19 to be able to meet the US colleagues.

The office is located in Liivalaia 13, a free parking space is offered.
