The Role

Currently looking for additional 3 Software Engineers (Platform team) to grow Tallinn team.
Global Mobility Platform helps to:

  • Plan the relocation of an employee. Helps to plan the cost of the relocation of posting an employee to anther country or another city.
    Helps to understand what is the cost of bringing furniture, family pets, local taxes, benefits etc. Complience, taxes.
  • Step by step procedures of moving to another country, including migration, organising accommodation, etc.
    Done on the platform, helps to make it a nice experience.
  • Provides a to do list for each process.

120 countries on the platform. The tax and planning team is adding more.
The system is connected to the own HR system of the client companies.
Digital nomads are using it nowadays.

You will have the opportunity to learn and work with our stack, which currently includes the following technologies:

  • Java and Kotlin with Spring Boot
  • PostgreSQL
  • React and Typescript
  • API driven architecture
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • AWS Services

Requirements

A successful software engineer at Topia has a broad set of skills or a readiness to learn and dig deep into all aspects of our platform.
The role does not limit itself and offers a variety of opportunities for an engineer who is familiar with RESTful API design, relational and not so relational databases and modern frontend technologies.

The Selection process:

  • Tech leads introduction/screening call - 30 min
  • Technical interview - up to 2 hours
  • HR interview - 30 min
  • Interview with the manager

Responsibilities

  • You have at least 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer and you want to continually ship high quality products and deliver technically challenging roadmaps
  • You are eager to work closely with the customer facing, product and design team and to gain a real global working experience
  • You value clean code that is well-written with testability in mind. Ideally every application and API you produce should be lightweight and discrete, meeting a particular end-user concern
  • You are a lifelong learner with a curious mind in figuring out how things work, and also with a drive for getting things done
  • You like to provide strong input into the way the code, product and culture are built across the team; driving forward the vision and exceeding our user’s expectations
