About the course

The Estonian market is limited, IT sector is booming and it is increasingly difficult to find qualified specialists. 

We offer the opportunity to enter the profession of an IT recruiter, retrain those whose skills are becoming irrelevant, and supplement the knowledge of HR and recruitment specialists with modern methods and tools.

Understanding the IT business, having technical competence helps you gain the confidence to enter an IT company. “Speaking the same language” takes HRs and recruiters to a new, advanced level, helps to address, evaluate and hire the best talents much faster.

During our course, we help our participants to design their recruitment workflow, automate and systemize personnel processes in their organization, understand how things work in IT companies, what roles and competencies there are, how teams and processes are built. 

We will make the complicated terminology clear in an easy, we break down myths related to recruitment and create healthy work habits and a systematic approach to find candidates. We will use images and jokes and lots of practical assignments to make it stick.

Purpose: at the end of the training, the participant is able to understand how things work in IT companies, what roles and competencies there are, how teams and processes are built. Course participant will be able to  conduct different recruitment and selection processes using the recruitment and selection methods.

Learning outcomes. By the end of the training the participant:

  • is able to build a conversation with the recruitment manager, draw up a recruitment plan and map the candidates
  • knows the principles of recruitment and is able to apply them
  • uses different recruitment channels for sourcing
  • automates the search of candidates using various extensions
  • uses various modern recruitment channels for recruiting
  • uses various technological solutions for conducting interviews
  • assesses the suitability of the candidates for the position and the organization
  • conductes reference check interviews
  • measures what matters and track the recruitment metrics.
  • understands how to find a definition of any IT term
  • understands how a software product is built, what roles are relevant for each stage of the software prodcuct development lifecycle and why
  • understands how the teams are built and managed
  • understands how teams work together, the methodologies and essential tools they are using
  • understands how projects are designed, built, deployed, tested and analyzed
  • is competent to make a difference between the programming languages, frameworks and other technologies, understands how and why they are used
  • knows the principles of technical recruitment
  • is competent to find and eveluate candidates for different IT roles, including designers, managers, product owners, QA, DevOps, data science and other 
  • is able to build a conversation with the IT recruitment manager and candidates
  • is competent to evaluabe the suitability of the IT candidates for the particular position and the organization based on CV
  • is able to conduct the first, pre-screening interview with the candidates for different roles
  • uses different sources for researching IT terms and can learn any unclear terms independently
  • can keep the technical competence up to date in future

Julia Jolkin:
