Forward View OÜ is established in 2019.

We develop fin-tech services with Ruby and Python for clients in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland.
Our comprehensive tailored IT system for debt management allows real-time tracking of every single claim and status of the collection process.
All claims are handled according to stringent and prudent procedures, ensuring good collection rates while maintaining an impeccable reputation of PlusPlus as well as the seller of the claims.

Our current projects include:
- PlusPlus - Client portal and internal CRM for debt collection process management in EE/LT/LV and FI
(from the purchase of claim to handing it over to court/enforcement) includes all authorization, signing, ps calculation, e-mails/phone calls/SMS's, etc.
- Monestro - P2P lending platform for Baltics and German market
- Punkfinance - Consumer Credit platform

The team is small, supportive and flat. Everyone makes a feature from start to finish, programmers don't cross paths often. The company has small company spirits, where each opinion matters and possible to make changes quickly.
All our developers and business guys are experienced and clever.

There are 3 teams that work on Monestro, PlusPlus, Punkfinance projects.
All team members are feature owners and there is not much hierarchy, based on seniority and enthusiasm there is more responsibility in DevOps, feature ownership.
FE and Back are separate, who desires full-stack, can do so.
DevOps tasks are managed by the lead with the help of the team.
Work in a combination of scrum/kanban.
CIO will be your direct manager.

The company is looking for a Senior Ruby developer who is willing to work partially on the frontend side.

For candidates outside of Estonia: Relocation or remote (relocation when the candidate is ready and if it is in line with the country's migration law).
In case of relocation: travel for the candidate and 1-month rent. Documentation support for candidate and family.

Must-have:
- 4+ years of production experience with Ruby
- Strong skills in Ruby and Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL 11
- Vue.js
Good-to-have:
- Knowledge of how to deal with Docker will save much time.
- Angular or React.
- If you want to grow as DevOps it would be nice as well.
 

The selection process

• Introduction interview
• Homework: will take approximately 4-5 hours and will be reviewed by the lead. Sometimes it can be skipped.
• Technical interview with the business representative, CIO and the project lead.
• Team meeting/call (optional) - call with CTO and the project lead.
  The process should not take more than 2 weeks.

All services are dockerized. Google Cloud Platform as an infrastructure provider. All DevOps stuff is done in-house.
The project has just started so we are ready for adjustments in a stack.

Tallinn office is located in Tartu mnt 83.
We have a cool and relaxed atmosphere in our offices due to having flexible hours, offering a possibility to work remotely, plus we do enjoy our team events and company retreats.
However, our development team members can choose to work remotely if they wish.

The working hours are also pretty flexible. The job can be fully remote, after training.
1 week a month in the office is fine - for bugs/pair programming and knowledge share.
